Description

These beautiful Marbled Easter Egg Sugar Cookie Cutouts are perfect for adding color and charm to your Easter celebrations! Made with Betty Crockerâ„¢ Sugar Cookie Mix and tinted with vibrant gel food colors, these cookies are almost too pretty to eat. A fantastic treat for Easter parties, gifting, or making with kids.


Ingredients

– 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crockerâ„¢ Sugar Cookie Mix
Flour, butter, and egg (as per instructions for cutout cookies)
Betty Crockerâ„¢ Blue, Pink, Purple, and Yellow Gel Food Colors
– 2 tbsp Coarse White Sparkling Sugar


Instructions

1. Prepare Dough:
– Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
– Mix cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg until a soft dough forms.
– Divide dough into 4 portions and tint each with a different food color (blue, pink, purple, yellow).
2. Create Marbled Pattern:
– On a floured surface, place tablespoons of each colored dough in a random pattern to form a large rectangle.
– Push the dough together to form a 7×6-inch rectangle.
– Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness to create a marbled pattern.
3. Cut & Bake:
– Cut dough with a 3-inch egg-shaped cutter.
– Place cookies 2 inches apart on ungreased sheets and sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
– Re-roll scraps and repeat.
– Bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are golden.
– Cool for 2 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
